THE HOME

As a former german architect, this home is designed with an open living concept. You will have your own room, accomodating two people, plus your private bathroom in the house. Our visitors fall in love with the house and the sights. We have views to the pacific ocean, our sprawling farm, and neighbors’ coffee farms. You can also see the countless birds in the area and the horses in the fields while hanging your feet in a small pool or the 3 little built pond by the house.

THE LOCATION

Our 18 acre Arabian horse farm is on the way from Monteverde to Tilaran, about 8km out. Las Nubes, the village close to us, is nestled in the Cloud Forest in the area of El Tigre Waterfall. The house was rebuilt on its origin footing in 2014, to Costa Rican standards of luxury or as a former guest called it out as “Simplicity in Luxury”. Within a 15 minutes, we can see Volcano Arenal, go to the Ziplining adventures, or hike to some remote waterfalls in the area. We are also very close to the Canopy Tours, Night Tours and Coffee Tours. We are tucked away through remote roads in the highly productive coffee farming area, where new establishing Farm Tours are all around us.

THE FARM

We have specialized in Horse Tours since 1999. On our Arabian Horse Farm we provide for experienced riders endurance training rides in the country side around and lessons in our arena.

Our four dogs are educated not to come in the house, but love to play Frisbee with any of our guests. We have one cat in the house and three of the dogs are allowed in the entrance room to chill.

We have many fruit producing trees, as well as some coffee trees and eight arabian horses on our farm. Some of them are pure bred straight egypsian horses that we race in endurance. If you are an experienced rider, we can definitely take you out on a ride during your fair stay.

YOUR STAY

Your room is cozy and private. You will have your own bathroom in the house. You have access to our little pool by the house as well as you can sunbath on the terraces all around the house. Our sliding windows open wide, and you have both the feelings of nature in the house and the feeling of shelter in a place that is your home away from home.

We provide high speed internet at all times. Breakfast can be served for an additional fee.

On our 18 acre farm you have access to all the trails. On the top of the property you will find views from North to South of the Pacific coast line. We have an arena to train our horses and give horseback riding lessons and natural horsemen ship. Our guests find some peaceful time practicing yoga before breakfast or in the evening with the sunset over the ocean.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

Please note that we are 8 km from town, and it is a short drive on paved road. You need to have a rental car for the duration of your stay here.

We provide a small fridge and a coffee maker/water boiler in your room. If you wish we will provide additional meals if booked in advance.
